For a long time, music was my life — performing and recording as a harpsichordist and fortepianist, and lecturing in London. That chapter mattered to me.

But I do not miss it. What followed was simply more important. I became Muslim, moved to different places, settled in Madinah, and things became clear in a way they never had before. Alhamdulillah to the One Who guided me — indeed, Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.

I say this so that you, old friend or a visitor, can find an honest perspective from me — and an answer to your expected surprise.
